Senior Coach Dale Tapping addresses the squad

Last year the Old Scotch Football Club fielded three teams. In season 2004 the club will field six teams. Three new teams will compete in the Club XVIII section of the Victorian Amateur Football League. Numbers at pre-season training have been excellent, with over 90 players regularly in attendance.

The Club recently held its pre-season training camp at Torquay Surf Life Saving Club as preparations continue for the 2004 season. Dale Tapping will coach the seniors for the third year and club legend Andrew Smith will again be his assistant. Serge D'Angelo will again throw himself into the reserves coaching position and is thriving in his new environment. The introduction of Bruce Armstrong as coach of the Under 19 team has had an immediate impact with a strong commitment by members of the Class of 2003. Barry Price and Mick Smith will be assisting Bruce throughout the season where School commitments allow. Andrew Millar will coach the third XVIII, Terry Kendell will look after the fourth XVIII, whilst Sandy Robertson will coach the Cardinals, no doubt with much colour and flair!

Round one commences on Saturday 17 April. The seniors and reserves will play Old Trinity at Elsternwick Park. For a full draw please see the club's website www.oldscotchfc.com.au. This website also has details regarding membership packages and sponsorship opportunities. The club needs your support this season as it strives to deliver 5% more in 2004.
