Main activities

Fundraising:

• The Auxiliary works with the Cadet Unit to help fund long or short-term projects. Help with some of the uniform costs has been provided.

• Equipment for camps has been purchased such as compasses, outdoor showers and a digital camera.

Practical support:

• Cadet Working Bees- update uniforms and regalia. These sewing bees are held once a term and jobs are included for non-sewing participants.

• Dates are advertised in the Torch

• Promotional displays within kiosk and for Family Day

• Unit digital camera purchased to record unit photos and distribute particularly to Year 12 boys at their Valedictory Dinner.

How to get involved

• Saturday kiosk is a great way to help the Cadet Auxiliary. It gives parents a chance to meet others from different year levels. The kiosk gives a fabulous view to watch sport on the Main Oval. Duties may be once or twice a per term for Term 2 and Term 3 only.

• Family Day parents are welcome to help on kiosk or the barbecue for a short time

• The committee has six short meetings a year and is a happy group. Sub Committees are offered to facilitate the annual events. Dates of forthcoming meetings are listed in the Torch and interested new members to the committee are welcome to attend.

Information

• Cadet events are advertised in the Torch

• The Auxiliary President is available for any relevant information

• Liaison with the Cadet Unit staff
