Record numbers at North Central dinner
There was a record attendance at the Bendigo and North Central OSCA branch 41st reunion dinner, hosted by new branch President, Peter Hyett (’80) and his wife Kate. Following pre-dinner drinks hosted by Janie Williamson at the Wine Bank, the sounds of bagpipes summoned guests to the Sandhurst Club for dinner.
It was pleasing to see old and young Old Boys there, enjoying good food and wine, together with the traditional starter of haggis. Doug Cahill (’65) gave a most authentic rendition of Robbie Burn’s ‘Ode to the Haggis’, while John Launder toasted the School and Chris Commons provided an update on overall School matters.
