“2008 will be an exciting year for the School and the Association. In our 156 years of existence we have only had 8 new Principals before.” The Association looks forward to assisting Ian Savage in his capacity as Acting Principal and welcoming Tom Batty later in 2008. “We have moved the Annual Dinner from its traditional date – the last Friday in May to Friday 22 August as a one off to welcome the new Principal’. The Association will also be actively supporting the Scotch College/Melbourne Grammar celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of the first recorded game of Australian Rules Football. More can be read about this on page 69 of this edition of Great Scot.
The Council welcomes former staff member Bruce Brown, as well as the latest immediate Past School Captain, Ed Whitlaw. Bob Welch and Peter England are Senior Vice President and President respectively.
