Following the federal government’s legislation in the last budget, Scotch has established a new scholarship fund, which will allow donors to claim a tax deduction for their contributions.
Words: Dr ALAN WATKINSON • Director of Development
The Scotch College Foundation Scholarship Fund has been established to enable students to enter Scotch who otherwise, for financial reasons, would be unable to attend. The fund, administered by a committee comprising the Principal, the Bursar and the executive of the Scotch College Foundation, will provide scholarship assistance to applicants who meet the following three broad criteria:
The new scholarship fund will allow Scotch to pursue its mission of attracting a wide and diverse number of students to the College. These students enrich the School as a whole by what they contribute across the whole spectrum of educational opportunity, and in return they benefit from the outstanding broad education that Scotch offers.
In supporting this new scholarship fund, members of the Scotch Family can invest in the future student base of the School, make an enormous difference to individual lives, and now also enjoy the benefit of an income tax deduction.
