The Scotch Family welcomes Tom Batty

This edition of Great Scot celebrates the arrival of the School’s ninth Principal, Mr Tom Batty.

In the School’s 157 year history only eight men have been Principal of Scotch College. This represents an average tenure of over 19 years and also has ensured a strong sense of stability and continuity, values which are in many ways enshrined in a Scotch education. While the School proudly reflects on its proud and rich history, it must always look to the future. Although many of the values instilled in the students of the past are just as relevant today, the world that today’s students enter is, in fact, a very different place. The one certainty is that this world will continue to change, and so too must Scotch.

It was with much anticipation that the current school community welcomed the Batty family at the commencement of Term 3. The entire Scotch Family wishes them a long, happy and fulfilling time at Scotch.
