Words: Ms Sue Faulkhead – Bequest Coordinator
A great gathering of more than 130 Old Boys and their guests enjoyed the wonderful fellowship and spiritual nourishment of the 2009 East Melbourne Glen Chapter Easter Chapel Service, held at Scotch on 31 March.
The mild autumn sun beamed beautifully through the Chapel windows during the service, which was well led by school chaplain, Rev Graham Bradbeer. The Principal, Mr Tom Batty, and the acting director of development, Mrs Astrida Cooper did the readings. The much-loved hymns – ‘Come Down, O Love Divine, ‘Almighty Father of all Things’ and ‘Crown Him with Many Crowns’ were sung with gusto.
A convivial morning tea followed in the Boarding House dining room, where friendships were renewed and stories retold. GS
