WORDS: Jamie Macmillan and Ben Sinclair (both Year 12)
We were both fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to represent Vic Metro at the recent NAB under 18 AFL championships. The competition saw us play games in NSW, at Subiaco and at Etihad Stadium. Unfortunately we only managed to win two of our five games to finish 4th, but nonetheless, it was a fantastic experience and one we will never forget!
WORDS: MR JEFF WATSON – 7A TEACHER
What a great range of head wear was donned, with something from almost every continent. Mr Watson’s 7A class recently had an exotic ‘hats’ day. The boys (and teacher!) had great fun with this impressive range of head wear. They had to research the origin and practicality of the design of their respective hat. Some hats were very ornate and carefully handcrafted for a ceremonial role, whereas others were simplistic or completely functional in design. The hats were ultimately used as a catalyst to introduce a discussion session on tolerance of diversity, and the avoidance of discrimination and stereotyping.
