A great programme has been developed to celebrate the Sesquicentenary of Scotch. It includes highlight events for the whole school and the wider Scotch family and significant functions for special interest groups.
An important aspect of the year will be our involvement with the wider community. Our plans include a Charity Walkathon in conjunction with the Torch Relay, a joint project with Melbourne Grammar to mark the Centenary of Federation with a gift of a sculpture highlighting the historic beginnings of Australian Rules Football, 150 hours of Social Service per week in Boroondara and assistance with the provision of Christmas hampers.
More news of each event will appear in future issues of Great Scot and, towards the end of 2000, we will publish a detailed handbook which will contain more information about each event and booking arrangements.
The outline programme which follows lists proposed dates. Some alterations to the programme or dates may be necessary as planning proceeds but in the meantime we would like to share our thinking with you.
