The work of a number of boys studying Design and Technology last year was highly original and innovative.

In Year 10 one class worked on a design theme based on the work of the Bauhaus, a revolutionary design school founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar, Germany. The boys wrote a short assignment after researching a famous Bauhaus character, and explained the philosophy of the Bauhaus and gathered some images of archetypal work.
|
This knowledge was then applied to the design of a clock which was to reflect the principles of the Bauhaus. Some of this work is of such a high standard it could be sold to a commercial company for manufacture! The enthusiasm in designing around this theme brushed off onto a Year 11 boy, who designed and made a steel stool for his VCE study in Semester 2. |

Some of this work will be displayed in the new Administration Centre for visitors to admire. The photographs show a sample of the fine work done by our boys.
