At the Year 12 Final Assembly and Torch Ceremony in the year of the School's sesquicentenary. 26 October, 2001 Dr Gordon Donaldson AM, Principal Time Capsule sealed So read the inscription on the magnificent polished stainless steel time capsule presented to the Senior School by the School Captain at a moving final assembly on Friday 26 October.
Funded by the Class of 2001, together with a specially constructed stand and glass case, and designed and constructed by Jim Derham (Class of '56), the Capsule was the brainchild of members of the Club 150 Committee. Containing over sixty items of interest from the 150th year as set out, including an aerial photograph of the campus, photographs of all students, a lap top computer, calculator, pager, the names and addresses of all Club 150 members, even a photograph of Mr Norm Bain (by popular request), the capsule was sealed by the Captain of the School, Brendan Ferguson. Brendan and members of the Class indicated their determination to be present at the opening ceremony in fifty years' time.
