Year 5 Robotics

During Term Three, the Year 5 boys have started working on a new programme called Robotics. This involves programming on the computer and then the construction of a model to complete a set task.

The equipment used is Lego and the ibook computers. The boys are finding the tasks very challenging and this assists with their problem solving and thinking skills. To date, they have programmed a motor to switch on, turn off, move in forward and reverse, added sensor lights and flashing lights.

Robotics is proving to be exciting and motivating, where the boys enjoy the hands on activities.
