Scoutcraft Badge - This is the first badge a Scout can get. It must be earned before any other badge can be undertaken. |
Patrol Activity Badge - The Patrol Activity Badges are earned by participating in Patrol Activities. (Skiing, bushwalking etc.) A Scout is required to earn one Patrol Activity Badge for each of the Target levels in order to earn their Cord for each level. |
Target Badges - Target Badges go towards earning the Pioneer, Explorer, or Adventurer Badges. Citizenship and Campcraft are the compulsory Target Badges, but there are also many others such Environment and Air Activities. |
Proficiency Badges - Along with a Pioneer Badge etc., these go towards earning a cord. There are many Proficiency Badges that can be earned, such as Art, Music, Sport and Technology. |
Adventurer Badge - The final major signpost along the Scout Section journey is the Adventurer Badge. It is designed to provide the Scout with opportunities to teach and test other Scouts to pass their Pioneer and Explorer Targets by using the knowledge and skills they have gained so far.
To earn the Pioneer (red), Explorer (blue), or Adventurer (green) Badges you need to have completed three Target Badges of the appropriate level. |
Cords - Cords are presented once a Scout has earned the Pioneer (red), Explorer (blue) or Adventurer (green) badge, as well as serveral Proficiency Badges and a Patrol Activity for each level. |
Venturer Scout Link Badge - The Venturer Scout Link Badge links Scouts to the Venturer Scout Section and is the next step in the Scouting journey. Completion of this badge prepares the Scout for advancement to the Venturer Unit. |
