Outstanding VCE Results for the Class of 2024

Scotch College is delighted to share the outstanding VCE and ATAR results of the Class of 2024.

An incredible 10 boys have received an ATAR of 99.95, and are, therefore, the duces of Scotch College for 2024. Congratulations to Adrian Lin, Christopher Lim, Geoff Liu, Matthew Wan, Marcus Peter, Liam Chen, Samiyar Samiee, Zhengcheng Tang, Patrick Fan and Jiamu Li.

Over half of the cohort (50.2%) obtained an ATAR of 90 or more, placing them in the top 10% in the state. A third of the cohort (33.3%) obtained an ATAR of 95 or more, placing them in the top 5% of the population.

73.5% of our cohort obtained an ATAR of 80 or more, placing them in the top 20%.

The median ATAR at Scotch was an exceptional 90.4.

There were 16 ‘perfect’ study scores of 50 across twelve VCE subjects. Congratulations to Patrick Fan (English), Liam Chen (Chemistry), Adrian Lin (Specialist Mathematics), Geoff Liu (English Language), Samiyar Samiee (French), Jackary Lengliu (General Mathematics), Gabriel Speyer (Legal Studies), Witter Onggara (Physics), Rio Barry (Physical Education), Neil Doshi (Mathematical Methods), Don McOmish (Mathematical Methods), Matthew Padgham (Physical Education), Simon Tripatzis (Biology) and Joseph Pan (Philosophy) and William Cheah (Chemistry).

As a genuinely non-selective school, these results reflect a truly remarkable culture of learning at Scotch.

To the Class of 2024, the results this year are simply remarkable and testament to your character, where qualities such as hard work, perseverance and discipline have clearly served you well. The Scotch Family is proud of your efforts and most importantly, who you are as young men.
