This Cambiata Choir is the newest of the choral ensembles at Scotch and is intended for boys with changing voices – mostly in Years 8-10. Boys’ transition to this choir when their vocal range no longer suits the treble repertoire needed for the College Choir, and perform repertoire more suited to the adolescent changing voice. It gives boys the opportunity to work on more complex part singing but still allow their “new” voices to transition and settle. Boys will move back to the College Choir tenor and bass sections when their voices have finished the transition (usually year 9 or 10).
