Foundation Day Concert

Hamer Hall, Arts Centre, Melbourne

One of the annual highlights of the schools’ calendar is the annual Foundation Day Concert. The first Foundation Day Concert was held at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings upon the schools Diamond Jubilee in 1911. This concert was conducted by George Wood, and involved all the boys united in song. There has been a Foundation Day Concert every year since (except for two years when polio epidemics prevented large gatherings and COVID in 2020) and this concert is now held at the Melbourne Concert Hall, drawing an audience of 2000.
